The mismanagement of the Carnegie fellowships by OCS is a serious mistake and the handling of that alone points to the dire necessity of an internal review. However, the staff attacks the career service with little evidence of other mismanagement. While we believe the resources of OCS are unfairly allotted in favor of business careers, they are in general no better or worse than most job-placement offices in the nation and do not deserve unsubstantiated allegations of incompetence.
