Junior Allison Feaster led the Harvard women's baskeball team with 24 points and nine rebounds in a 76-52 win over Southern Illinois yesterday at the Copper Bowl Classic in Tuscon, Arizona.
After a sloppy first half in which neither team shot over 31 percent from the floor, the Crimson exploded for 50 second-half points on 20-for-34 shooting to gain the victory.
Co-captain Jessica Gelman, junior Rose Janowski, sophomore Suzie Miller and junior Sarah Brandt scored all their points in the second half.
Feaster was the only Harvard player to hit double-figures in points, as the Crimson spread its scoring over 12 different players. Feaster also hit all five of her free-throws-half the Crimson's total.
Southern Illinois was led by Theia Hudson, who scored 14 points.
