Contrary to The Crimson Staff, I think there should be student members on the Administrative Board. It is ridiculous and reprehensible for community standards to be upheld without the largest portion of the community, students, taking part in the process.
For traumatic emotional and physical cases such as rape, I could see removing student members from the case. However, most cases are not of this sort. And to say, as The Crimson has, that students are any less trustworthy with confidential proceedings than faculty is an insult to the intelligence and integrity of the College's 6600 undergraduates.
To be an effective and legitimate disciplinary body, the Ad Board must have student representation.
