Rabbi Zarchi Confronted Maria Ressa, Walked Off Stage Over Her Harvard Commencement Speech
The Harvard men's tennis team has added another sportsmanship honor to its long list of well-rounded achievement. Freshmen Mike Passarella, a former New England ranked junior tennis player from Ridgefield, Conn. was honored for outstanding career sportsmanship at the 1995 USTA/New England Annual Conference and Awards Luncheon.
Passarella received the prestigious USTA/New England Col. Bernard Gorfinkle Award at the Woodland Club in Falmouth, ME on December 9, 1995.
The award is presented annually to the New England 18 and under player who has conducted himself in an exemplary manner both on and off the court throughout his junior career.
Passarella is the fifth member of the 1995-96 Harvard men's tennis team to win the award, joining an illustrious group that includes Coach Dave Fish '87.
