By Victoria E.M. Cain

Award-winning comedian Paula Poundstone will return to her native state and perform in Sanders Theatre October 23 for an HBO Comedy Hour special.

A past correspondent for "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and E! Entertainment Television, Pound-stone has won several awards for her HBO appearances and will be featured at Fox's "1995 Clio Awards" later this fall.

HBO was last here when it filmed a special on the Hasty Pudding Club in February.

The upcoming Comedy Hour special, entitled "Paula Poundstone Goes To Harvard," will air in February 1996.

Tickets for the 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. tapings go on sale today for Harvard faculty, students and staff at the reduced price of $8. Remaining tickets will be available to the general public at $10 starting October 2.
