HUA Election Will Feature No Referenda or Survey Questions
It was a remarkable season for the Harvard softball team. The Crimson finished the year with a 28-14 record and a second place finish in both the Ivy League and ECAC tournaments. Not too shabby, considering the bids are the first postseason invitations ever for Harvard batswomen.
But it wasn't always that glorious for the Crimson, which battled valiantly for its every accomplishment. But the paramount battle came in a doubleheader sweep of Yale. It was no normal afternoon of softball.
The Crimson survived 29 innings of softball on the way to its two victories. Harvard won the opening game, 3-1, in 17 innings. It put the Elis away in just 12 innings, 3-2, on the second day of the proceedings.
The wins propelled Harvard to a second-place finish in the Ivies, matching the team's best Ancient Eight finish ever.
