The Game is often considered the centerpiece of the Harvard sports year. Supposedly, it is one of the essential memories in the Harvard experience. Elders tell freshmen, "The football team isn't very good, but go to the Yale game." And everyone does.
The 111th Game will not be remembered for rousing Harvard play; Yale stormed into The Stadium and claimed a decisive 32-13 victory.
The Game will be remembered as a coming out party for a 5'9", 195-pound firecracker of a running back, Eion Hu.
Hu simply terrorized the Eli for 145 yards on 36 carries, giving him a total of 1,011 yards rushing for the season, only the second Harvard player ever to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark.
It was his day, his Game and his milestone.
