The Harvard baseball team split a pair of doubleheaders at Pennsylvania and Columbia this past Saturday and Sunday after having lost five of seven games against non-Ivy competition the previous week in Fort Myers, Fla.
Harvard (4-7, 2-2 Ivy) won the first game over Columbia yesterday, 7-6, in 10 innings. However, the Lions came back to take the nightcap, 4-3.
On Saturday, Pennsylvania defeated Harvard, 4-2, in the first game of a twinbill, while the Crimson won the second game, 7-5, in eight innings. Senior Mike Cicerco picked up the win in relief during the second game.
Harvard was able to win only two games during its Florida trip--8-3 over Vermont on March 24 and 4-1 against Wisconsin-Whitewater on March 28.
Joe Weidenbach has hit safely in his last nine games.
