Men's Tennis
The Harvard men's tennis team defeated Dartmouth, 6-1, yesterday afternoon to claim the Eastern Intercollegiate Tennis Association (EITA) Championship. The Crimson has won the EITA six of the last seven seasons.
The netmen captured two of the three doubles matches to take the doubles point and four of the five completed singles matches.
Harvard (16-6, 8-0 EITA) can wrap up a perfect 9-0 in the EITA with a win Saturday against ninth-place Cornell.
Women's Tennis
The Harvard women's tennis team can reach the promised land this afternoon in its match against Dartmouth. A win will secure the Crimson's first Ivy League title since 1992.
The Crimson are undefeated in league play, while the Big Green has dropped one match on the season in the Ancient Eight.
The match will begin at 2 p.m. and will be played, weather permitting, at Beren Tennis Center. The indoor site is Palmer Dixon Tennis Courts.
