Harvard made the correct decision when it decided not to admit Gina Grant. The murder is not the issue: she has completely paid the debt society determined she owed. Grant should be denied admission because she misrepresented herself--lied, either with an outright lie or with a lie by omission--on her application. With that action, Grant proved she does not merit admission to an academic and residential community that takes veritas as its motto.
