ATHLETE of the WEEK

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Our athlete for the week of March 12 is sophomore Mike Eckert, an attackman for the Harvard men's lacrosse team.

Eckert, the team's high scorer from last season, picked right up where he left off in the first two weeks of the 1995 campaign.

Eckert shredded the Boston College defense in last weekend's game, scoring four goals and dishing out five assits in the Crimson's 20-10 manhandling of B.C.

Two weekends ago, Cornell's defense was the victim of Eckert's scoring prowess, as he racked up five goals and two assists.

Eckert currently is the team's leading scorer with 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) in the first two games of the season.
