The military has the right to make decisions about how to maximize its effectiveness and efficiency. Current military policy towards homosexuals cannot be compared to earlier racial discrimination in the military because the question now is one of action and behavior as opposed to identity. The University should never have distanced itself in the first place from this worthy program for training men and women who serve this nation so tirelessly.
