Streisand Does Not Merit Hype

Wow! Barbra Streisand comes to the Kennedy School. Headline coverage in the papers and on TV. The audience filled with fellows and beaming professors. Did you spot Roger Fisher?

I feel like throwing up. This self-indulgent pseudo-intellectual reading from her tele-prompter (you didn't think those were her thoughts did you?) makes you sick. Good luck on funding for that Endowment for the Arts--if it makes such a difference, why doesn't Barbra and the rest of the mega-bucks stars simply support it themselves?

Sure life is boring at Harvard/Cambridge. But can't you people put this in some sort of perspective? Dan Murray   Lexington, MA
