8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
Still high on the success of last year's They Might Be Giants concert, last night the Undergraduate Council's committee on campus life elected its co-chairs for 1994-95.
Rudd W. Coffey '97 ran unopposed for the seat from which he will direct the council's student services, such as organizing holiday airport shuttle buses and advocating the installation of cable TV in undergraduate dorms.
Mark P. Connolly '96, coming into his fourth semester as the campus life committee social activities co-chair, defeated former presidential contender Sam Ferrell '95 for the office.
After the elections, the committee resolved to ask the council for money to buy a new Stairmaster for the Malkin Athletic Center.
The committee split the vote on the motion and decided to bring the issue before the full council this Sunday, but without the recommendation of the committee.
The group also discussed setting a permanent schedule, but only settled on ruling out Monday nights from 8 to 9 p.m., because that time block conflicts with "Melrose Place."
