Computer Series Was Accurate

TO THE EDITORS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Congratulations on a comprehensive and interesting series on network services at Harvard. Reporters Andrew Wright and Doug Pravda managed to cover a broad range of issues, many of them technical, without loss of accuracy, and for that, they should be specially commended. Hopefully, the careful attention paid to accuracy on this series is a trend and not a fluke.

The Crimson has, in the past, suffered from bad reporting and haphazard editing of technology-related articles, resulting in misleading and inaccurate articles. In a world rapidly making the transition towards advanced technology, such coverage is unacceptable.

Once again, thank you for the informative series. Please make sure that future articles on computing and technology live up to the standard set by these articles. Eugene E. Kim '96   President,   Harvard Computer Society
