The staff's reflexive dismissal of Ambassador Flynn's accomplishments is unfortunate. Flynn, during is tenure, has transformed what was widely perceived as a sinecure into a high-visibility post. (Quick, name his predecessor.)

Flynn is however, the consummate Boston politician. He thrives in the cloistered world of Massachusetts politics.
