Even at number 41 in the convention center rankings, Boston already has a fine, modern facility in the Hynes Convention Center. Long before the bonds funding the Megaplex are paid off, Boston will find the rosy projections of Price Waterhouse quickly fade as it falls behind again in the race to build the best convention center. Big business wins. The taxpayer loses.
