Ted Turner Gives $75M to 3 Schools

Media mogul Ted Turner has donated $75 million to be equally distributed between Brown University, the Citadel and a college preparatory school in Chattanooga, Tenn., according to the New York Times.

The three schools will receive $1 million each for the next five years. In addition, $60 million will be placed in a trust fund to be divided between the schools upon Turner's death.

Turner is the chair and president of the Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., and a former Time magazine man of the year.
