Counter Does Exemplary Work

To The Editors

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

I am very troubled by the impropriety and the egregious inaccuracy of your recent staff editorial ("Counter Drags the Foundation Down," Opinion, Oct 25, 1994).

Dr. Allen Counter has my full, strong and continuing support. His work in leading the Harvard Foundation has been exemplary, and I am deeply appreciative of all he does, with the students and staff of the Foundation, to make the College a richer and more understanding community. You perform a startling disservice to imply otherwise. Jeremy R. Knowles   Dean, Faculty of Arts and Sciences
