Karen Goetze, a sophomore on the women's cross country team, has been named Harvard Athlete of the Week by the Harvard sports information office.

Goetze dusted the field at the Harvard-Yale-Princeton meet, winning the five-kilometer race by about 100 metres in a time of 17:54. Her time was the best for a Crimson runner in the three years that Harvard has been using the new Franklin Perk course.
