Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
As a senior woman on campus who has never stepped through the (back) door of any Final Club, or has ever had the desire to participate in the social life perpetuated by the Final Clubs, I am amused by the sudden call to boycott organized by a few members of the Women's Field Hockey team. These women have failed to address the group of women and men who have individually chosen not to participate in Final Club functions not only because of the sexism inherent in their structure, but also because of the elitism involved in a members-only club.
I am writing this letter, I hope, on behalf of these sound men and women who don't need to be organized, attend any meetings, or be told that "it is time" to put your foot down. This boycott is organized by women who do not feel it is necessary to eliminate elitism, they are lobbying for a more important role in it. Kate J. Matwychuk '94
