The Homeless Empowerment Project, publishers of the Spare Change newspaper, yesterday announced plans to sell a tape of music by homeless children.

The Unfortunate Tear program was announced last night at the first annual campaign gala for Spare Change. The newspaper, written, produced and sold by the homeless, has grown to a circulation of 30,000 a month.

At last night's gala, the newspaper gave awards to a host of politicians, journalists and local celebrities, including Crimson Business Manager Young Jin Lee. The Crimson prints Spare Change on its presses.
