No Misconduct In Tutor Hiring

TO THE EDITORS OF THE CRIMSON:

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

There have been recent articles in The Crimson focusing on the tutor hiring process at Dunster House. Unfortunately these articles contained multiple misrepresentations, misquotes, and unsubstantiated accusations and innuendoes. Therefore we feel compelled to clarify these issues. Tutor hiring at Dunster has been conducted under the highest standards, and we are proud of our tutorial staff who are uniformly outstanding in their qualifications and dedication to the House. There have been no improprieties in our choice of tutors, despite the dogged attempts of The Crimson to portray this situation.

There are a variety of misunderstandings which have been openly discussed at a recent meeting with tutors and students. Several recommendations were raised to enhance communication within the House, and we will be implementing some of these constructive suggestions in the future. Karel and Hetty Liem,   Co-Masters, Dunster House
