Hall Appointed to Post With Cambridge Police

Yvonne M Hall has been appointed Deputy Superintendent, according to Cambridge Police Commissioner Perry L. Anderson it in a press release last week. Hall is the first African American female and the second female elevated to a policy decision-making position within the police department in the year, according to the statement.

Anderson said Hall's appointment is an indication of the Cambridge police's continuing commitment to having a diversitied command staff representing the community served.

During her career, Hall has received numerous letters of recognition and commendations from the community, including numerous special assignments in 1988, 1990 and 1993, according to the statement. In June, 1992, Gloria Pimentel was appointed the department's first female Deputy Superintendent.
