In an attempt to gather support for President Clinton's economic plan, the Harvard-Radcliffe College Democrats have started distributing fact sheets and organizing petitions they will send to Congress.
Matthew J. Strong '95, president of the College Democrats, said the plan "is geared towards deficit reduction, an issue that will affect young people too."
Margaret L. Carter '96, the organization's membership director, said, "It's very important for students to support this plan because it's very important for our future. It addresses waste that's been going on too long and provides investment that we can see now, but also things that will help build a good future for this generation."
College Democrat leaders said support has been promising with over 200 signatures.
