Senior co-captain Francie Walton made the Ivy League honor roll for her play in Harvard's 2-1 double overtime thriller and upset over 18th-ranked Princeton Saturday.
Walton and freshman defender Daphne Clark shut down the Tiger offense, including rookie scoring sensation Amy McFarlane who now appears to be a virtual lock for this season's rookie of the year.
McFarlane was named player of the week for the second time this season and also received rookie of the week honors for the fifth time this year. She leads the league in overall and Ivy scoring with 18 points (13 goals and five assists) and 12 points (four goals and four assists) respectively.
Harvard's victory over Princeton last weekend means that Pennsylvania can clinch the league crown with a win over last place Yale Saturday.
The Crimson is still mathematically in the hunt and needs the Elis and the Tigers to beat the undefeated Quakers in the last two games of the season. If that happens and Harvard wins its last two contests, there could be a three-way tie between the Crimson, the Tigers and the Quakers for the Ivy title and an ensuing playoff series would determine the winner.
