An article in yesterday's Crimson contained several inaccuracies regarding a blind student who charges he failed a mathematics examination because of an incompetent reader.
The headline, "Blind Student Rejects Offer By Ad Board for Retest," was inaccurate. The student said yesterday he has not yet reached a decision and added that he appreciated the board's prompt response.
The article also contained misleading inferences that the student failed to cooperate with the registrar's office in arranging for the examination.
The article also misidentified the student and his Harvard affiliation. He is Soonkyu Shin '91 and is a transfer, not visiting, student from MIT.
