Editor's Note: The Cambridge Board of Zoning Appeals is currently considering whether to allow a Dunkin' Donuts franchise to open is the Square. Local activists have opposed the bakery because of the expected increases in traffic. They also contend that allowing stores like Dunkin' Donuts or McDonald's into the Square will change the neighborhood from a unique place to live into "Everywhere, America."
