Sophomore Ian Williams, who plays fifth singles and third doubles for the Crimson, is considering transferring to University of Texas at Austin.
"I am leaning toward leaving right now," Williams said. "Socially and tennis-wise, Harvard isn't what I expected. My game hasn't improved the way I wanted it to in the last two years."
Williams cited several other reasons for his possible departure, including limited access to practice facilities, inclement weather which prevents outdoor play and strained relations with Head Coach David Fish (who could not be reached for comment).
Williams intends to postpone his finial decision until after the NCAA tournament.
If Williams chooses to leave, the team will be faced with the loss of its top five players next year.
