Young Man Attacked At Harvard MBTA Stop

By Betty L. Cung, Contributing Reporter

A young man was stabbed on March 22 at the Harvard T Station, a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) police spokesperson confirmed last night.

James R. Vall of the MBTA police said that the alleged victim--identified by The Boston Globe as Robert Jundzil, 17, of Somerville--was wounded in the chest.

The Globe described the incident as taking place on the mezzanine level of the station, and said that Jundzil was first robbed of his wallet.

MBTA police arrested Peter A. York, 17, of Somerville; Joseph Bates, 18, of Cambridge; and Eric Fiorentino, 17, of Waltham. The three were charged with armed robbery and with assault and battery with a deadly weapon, according to the Globe.

The alleged assailants were arraigned on March 23 in Cambridge District Court, the Globe said.

Vall said last night that he thinks Jundzil has been released from the hospital.
