Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
Harvard police arrested a man at the Law School's Hemenway Gym Wednesday night for possession of a dangerous weapon, police officials said yesterday.
Charles Gray, 38, was carrying a large double-edged knife when he was caught trespassing at Hemenway, according to police officials.
Plainclothes officers also arrested Shawn Cambers, 30, who was accompanying Gray at the gym. Both men were charged with trespassing. They were arraigned at Cambridge Third District Court yesterday morning.
Police officials said that the Gray and Chambers had been warned to stay off the property before. Officers became suspicious when they saw Gray and Chambers enter the gym Wednesday night.
The officers recognized Gray from earlier encounters with him in the area, police said.
Gray is a possible suspect for recent wallet thefts at the Law School and at the Kennedy School of Government and for various crimes near the Charles Hotel.
Chambers is wanted by the state police in Concord, Mass., for failing to appear in court after operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.
He is being held without bail at the Cambridge Police Department.
