Harvard Faces Duke Blue Devils Today

Harvard men's tennis team will take to the courts at 8 a.m. today against Duke and begin its journey through the USTA/ITCA National Indoor Team Championship at the Louisville Tennis Club in Louisville, Ken.

The Crimson is one of 20 teams competing over the weekend for national bragging rights on the collegiate tennis circuit.

Harvard has an overall record of 5-8 at the tournament. The team's best finish was a seventh place in 1985. The squad made its mark two years ago by coming in unranked and knocking off three teams in the Top 15.

All-Academic Match-Up

Harvard, seeded 13th, will be favored in its early match over the 18th seeded Blue Devils. Duke appears in the annual tournament for the first time.

If the Crimson gets by the Blue Devils, it will have to face third-ranked powerhouse Stanford in the second round to be held this afternoon. Compiled by The Crimson Staff
