In an effort to rejuvenate school spirit, the Harvard University Band is planning a campus-wide pep rally for the night before The Game.
Band members said they hope that the event, which will involve a number of student groups, will invigorate what they call an extremely apathetic student body.
"There has been angst over the general lameness of the student body," student conductor John A. E. Pottow '93 said. "This is an attempt to revitalize student spirit."
The rally may include speeches by athletes and performances by the band and campus singing groups, said Victor W. Hwang '93, the band's manager.
The event will probably be held in Tercentenary Theater, Hwang said. Band leaders and the organizations involved will discuss the details at a meeting on Thursday night.
