Harvard Must Help

DISSENT

The staff is wrong to attack North House residents. One of the few advantages to house life is the serenity of the dining hall. One year of the Union is hell enough and upperclass students deserve relative peace at meals.

There is only one culprit in this unfortunate situation and that is the University. The decision to house students at 29 Garden St. betrayed a fundamental mission of the first year experience: to promote cohesiveness within the class.

A free t-shirt is not enough. Harvard should spare no expense in providing shuttle service that makes it not only possible, but convenient, for first-years to eat in their assigned dining hall.
