Harvard's sailing teams could not have picked more beautiful days to be out on the water. But despite the warm weather, the Crimson still faced stiff competition.

The men's sailers finished 9th overall in the Friis Trophy Regatta at Tufts University behind a strong performance from senior Jim Bowers, who finished third in his division.

The women's sailing team hosted a race here at Harvard on Saturday and Sunday, but the home advantage could not help the young Crimson squad. Hampered by injuries, Harvard finished eighth in the 11-team competition, won by a traditionally fast Brown team.
