Aquawomen In Third After 1st Day Of Easterns

After one day of competition, the Harvard women's swimming team was in third place in the Eastern Women's Swimming League Championships in Pittsburgh.

With 161.50 points, the Crimson trailed Penn State (189 points) and Pittsburgh (167), in a field of 25 teams from the East Coast.

Harvard took second place in the 200 meter freestyle relay and third in the 400 meter medley relay. In the 500 meter freestyle, freshman Deirdre Ryan placed second, while sophomore Stacie Duncan nabbed fifth.

In the 200 meter individual medley, juniors Nicole Engh and Anne Koerckel finished fifth and sixth respectively.
