Head Tutor for the East Asian Languages and Civilizations Department Robin D. S. Yates has begun to compile a list of Harvard students in China.

He said that to the best of his knowledge, all foreign students in Beijing have been evacuated from the universities to either embassies or downtown hotels.

In addition, a State Department spokesperson said yesterday, "We have received no reports of Americans being severely injured or endangered in China."

Yates' preliminary list of Harvard students in China includes:
