Don't accuse the Harvard men's rugby club of succumbing to overconfidence and complacency.
The Crimson clinched its sixth win without a loss this season yesterday at Soldier's Field, topping the Beacon Hill Rugby Club, 16-0.
The win was the Crimson's sixth straight decisive victory, but Harvard isn't counting on the same in this weekend's Ivy League tournament in Providence.
"In the Ivy League, both Brown and Dartmouth should prove to be very tough competition," Harvard Co-Captain Jon Greenberg said. "Those games should be decided by one or two points."
Last season, the Crimson lost to Brown in the semifinals on penalty kicks in double overtime.
The Crimson emphasized its running game over the kicking strategy against Beacon Hill, utilizing three tries by junior Bruce Miller and one try by senior Scott Tierney to pull out the victory.
"It wasn't really a blowout," Greenberg said. "We had to work hard for all our points."
