Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
The Harvard Square Theater on Church St. was evacuated because of extensive smoke yesterday evening, as three fire engines, two trucks and one rescue unit were called to the scene, a Cambridge firefighter said yesterday.
There was "smoke coming from somewhere, but all we have is some smoke," he said. The building was evacuated, but there were no injuries, although smoke inhalation might be a problem later, he said.
He said there was no estimated damage to the theater, but there would probably be some smoke damage.
Cashiers and ushers were waiting outside at the theater last night, because they said they weren't sure if they would have to return to work. They said they did not know anything about the incident. They added that they evacuated the theater as fast as they could.
