Crimson Teams Hit the Highway

Take out the maps and get ready to eat McDonald's on the road. Crimson sports teams are hitting the highway this weekend.

Football: The Crimson will take its act to Worcester Saturday to face Holy Cross. The Crusaders have outscored Harvard, 81-6, in the teams' last two meetings. Coach Joe Restic would rather remember when Harvard defeated Holy Cross, 28-20, in 1985.

Men's Soccer: Only the true Crimson faithful will head out to see Harvard take on Hartwick Saturday in far-away Hartwick, N.Y.

Since the 'Wick doesn't field a football team, the school has designated Saturday's soccer match as its Homecoming Game. Hartwick alumni will be out in full force. So should the Crimson, who won the Constitution Cup in Hartford last weekend.

Field Hockey: After taking on a tough University of Connecticut team this afternoon at Soldiers Field, the high-flying Crimson, led by Char Joslin, trek down I-95 to face Ivy League rival Penn in Philadelphia.

Men's Tennis: Harvard will travel to Princeton, site of the 1988 ECAC Championships. After an impressive showing at last weekend's New England Championships, the Crimson hopes this weekend's tournament will put Harvard back on track.

Women's Soccer: Saturday, the Crimson will be making its first home appearance since September 20 when it faces the University of Vermont in a tough New England match-up at Ohiri Field.

Harvard is fresh off a perfect 2-0 record on the road, including a 1-0 shutout over Providence.

Women's Tennis: The Crimson will have a chance to prove it's one of the best teams in the East when it hosts the Harvard Invitational today through Sunday.
