Harvard Still On Track To Reach Fossil Fuel-Neutral Status by 2026, Sustainability Report Finds
Harvard senior lacrosse player Kate Felsen was named Ivy League Player of the Year by league coaches this week. Felsen led her team in scoring with 43 goals and 14 assists.
Felsen is a four-year starter and one of the nation's premier lacrosse players. In her sophomore year, she played on the U.S. National Team, the equivalent of a U.S. Olympic Team.
Felsen helped lead her team to the Ivy League championship for the third time in four years. The Crimson also advanced to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament. Harvard was beaten in the NCAA semifinals by eventual-champion Temple, 13-8.
Five other Harvard laxwomen joined Felsen on the All-Ivy first team: Kelly Dermody, Cindi Ersek, Char Joslin, Katie McAnaney and Maggie Vaughan. Joslin finished the year as the Crimson's second leading scorer. Dermody, a junior, is a three-year starter in goal.
Two laxwomen made the All-Ivy second team. They are Leelee Groome (who finished third in scoring) and Julia French.
