Laxwomen Prevail Over Terrapins

Two years ago, the Harvard women's lacrosse team lost only one regular season game--to Maryland.

Last year, the Terrapins dealt the Crimson a 13-9 pounding, one of Harvard's worst defeats ever.

Because of that loss, the Crimson was denied one of four spots in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in five years.

But this year, the Crimson finally got the better of its nemesis, slipping past Maryland, 8-7, in College Park, Md.

The victory upped Harvard's overall mark to 5-2.

The Crimson continues its quest for its sixth-straight Ivy League title Wednesday when Brown visits Soldiers Field at 3 p.m.
