Fusco Still Hurting

Hockey Captain Scott Fusco's status for this weekend's ECAC quarterfinal series with Colgate is still uncertain. Although the senior says his condition is "improved," he adds that his injured shoulder is "still not great."

Fusco suffered a first degree shoulder separation in a collision with Clarkson forward Charlie Meitner just 30 seconds into last Saturday's 5-4 Crimson loss in Hamilton, N.Y.

"I can play when the pain goes away, and as of yet it hasn't gone away," Fusco said yesterday.

"I don't have anywhere near full mobility yet, and that's what I need," he added. "If I can't play by Thursday, I definitely won't be able to play [in the quarterfinals]."

With or without its all-time leading scorer, Harvard will take to the ice of Bright Hockey Center Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., looking to extend its two-year winning streak over the Red Raiders and advance to the following weekend's ECAC semifinals at Boston Garden.
