Chris Donatelli scored two goals and goalie Terry Taillefer had 43 saves to lead Boston University to a 4-1 victory Monday over Boston College in the championship game of the 34th annual Beanpot Hockey Tournament.

Taillefer was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.

Donatelli, a sophomore, beat Boston College goalie Scott Gordon with a power-play goal at 4:30 of the first period to give B.U. a 1-0 lead. The Eagles' Scott Harlow answered with a power-play goal of his own at 7:29 of the first to tie the score at 1-1.

But Donatelli scored the game-winner just 25 seconds later. Tony Majkozak added a B.U. tally at 11:20 of the first and Peter Marshall scored an open-net goal at 18:56 of the third period to round out the scoring for the Terriers.
