Rocky Mountain Blues--as in blue books--is a good way to describe the past weekend for the Harvard men's and women's ski teams, which competed at the Sugar Loaf Carnival.
The Skiers' problems are not injuries, but exams. Harvard's lengthy exam period has thrown the Crimson off-course at its first three competitions.
"We were only able to send eight skiiers out of 24," Coach George Weir said. "It's the worst situation we've been in." Harvard did not place anyone during the first or second day of competition at Sugar Loaf.
Last weekend, the sun shone a bit brighter for the Crimson at Mt. Pleasant, as the men finished in sixth place and the women in fourth.
The Crimson will try to bounce back next Saturday when it travels to the Stowe Carnival.
