In the newest addition to the Harvard University community, Ann Spence, wife of Dean of the Faculty A. Michael Spence, Saturday gave birth to a seven-pound 10-ounce baby girl.
The baby girl, Marya Whitney Spence, arrived two weeks early, but was in good condition yesterday, officials at Brigham and Women's Hospital said.
Barring any unusual circumstances, the baby Spence will be Harvard Class of 2007-unless she decides to matriculate to her father's alma mater, Princeton University.
Marya will join her brother Graham, age 5, and her sister Catherine, age 3, when she leaves the hospital.
