Many of the country's world-class skaters will perform at Harvard next weekend for Eliot House's "An Evening with Champions," an annual skating exhibition benefitting children's cancer research.

Skaters slated to perform in the November 1-3 exhibition include U.S. men's champion and world bronze medalist Brian Boitano, U.S. pairs champions Peter Oppegard and Jill Watson, and world pairs bronze medalists Judy Blumberg and Michael Seibert.

Since 1969, the show has raised more than $500,000 for the Jimmy Fund, a fundraising branch of Boston's Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The show last year donated $82,000 to the Jimmy Fund.

The fund raiser's goal this year is to break the $100,000 limit.

The first "Evening with Champions" was organized 16 years ago by Eliot House student and national champion skater John M. Petkievich.

The performance will be nationally televised on PBS at Christmas.
