Register Today To Vote in City Election

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Today is the last day for voter registration in Cambridge in preparation for the November 5 municipal election. Voters will be choosing from among the 22 candidates running for city council and nine for school committee.

There are also three referenda questions on the ballot each dealing with a ban on nerve gas testing within city limits, Harvard's housing policies, and making the sale of pornography a criminal offense.

To be eligible to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age by November 5, and a resident of Cambridge (students included, but bring identification with your name and address on it).

Registration will only take place today between 8:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. at the Cambridge Election Commission, 362 Green St., (behind the police station) on the third floor.
