He added, however, that the occurrence of such errors is "one of the principle reasons that [the publishing department of HSA] is taking over the guide."

He said that he had heard about six other mistakes in the current guide, but that Carson's was the "biggest inconvenience" to date."

Brian T. Ching, the owner of Ching, the owner of Ching Hus, said the incident has "lost the meaning of advertising" for him. He said he "might not advertise next year" because of the attitude of some administrators at HSA.

Ching said that he did not know whether he had lost business because of the mix-up, and that no customers have complained about the phone number.

"I just don't feel like using our money to correct this," he said.

Overall, Carson said, "it's just an annoyance. Who wants to be getting up at all hours of the night to answer the phone...and then have a Chinese food order come over it?"
