The Harvard women's soccer team booted itself to a 1-0 season-opening win Saturday at Bowdoin.

Three freshmen started, but it took Yardling Karen Sericka, who came off the bench, to tally Harvard's only goal of the day.

Meanwhile in goal, highly touted freshman goalie Tracee Whitley earned the starting call and recorded eight saves in her collegiate debut.
